44 items from 10 archives.

What is admitted

An item appears in this archive only when the record of the archive that holds it shows one of three things:

  • it was made by an employee of the U.S. federal government as part of official duties;
  • it was published before 1931; or
  • the holding archive’s own record declares it to be in the public domain.

Press-agency photographs and prints by unknown photographers are left out, even when an archive holds a copy. Each item below carries the number its archive issued, so anyone can find the original record.

To report an error, or to ask for an item to be corrected or removed, write to curator@sequoia-archive.org.
